From across the diverse landscape of British Columbia comes our exceptional team of BCWS endorsed instructors, veterans of the frontlines and wildfire management. With years of extensive experience from Crew Leaders for private contractors, Initial Attack crew members with BCWS, and Smokejumpers from the only Parattack program in Canada, they bring unparalleled expertise to your training. These battle tested professionals have fought historic fires and worked tirelessly through record breaking fire seasons. Now, they’re here to share their hard won knowledge, and help you get the training you need to become a skilled defender against wildfires.
Urban Interface.
Our team also includes extensively trained Structure Firefighters with valuable experience in handling wildland - urban interface (WUI) fires. These seasoned professionals possess the unique training and expertise required to combat fires where the natural environment meets urban development. Their complementary knowledge and adaptability in addressing the complex challenges presented by WUI fires make them a crucial asset in safeguarding both lives and property in these critical situations. They are well versed in the Wildfire Structure Protection and Firesmart Programs, and are actively engaged in community wildfire resiliency. Their specialized training and dedication help harmonize our comprehensive wildfire management approach.
Medical Response.
Additionally, our instructors are Canadian Red Cross qualified and experienced First Responders, who are able to deliver various levels of training depending on your specific needs. Our team is comprised from various organizational backgrounds, offering unique perspectives in their specific disciplines. This includes members of Search and Rescue teams, Ski Patrollers, Firefighters, and Emergency Medical Responders who actively serve their respective communities. These capable instructors offer an immersive and relatable training experience, utilizing real world experience and practical scenarios to build your confidence in the world of emergency management.
