Wildfire Entrapment and Avoidance

Course Description

S-185 training is delivered over a 3 hour classroom training session, evaluated by a written exam.  There are case study exercises included examining incident reports of real fire entrapment scenarios. Upon completion of this course, students will demonstrate a basic knowledge of fire entrapment avoidance safe work procedures.  The S-185 is delivered in tandem with the S-100 over the same 2 days, and both are minimum requirements for anyone looking to be employed as a firefighter by BCWS or a contract fire crew.
